Abstract


Natural or geologycal erosion is from slow prosess of erosion and it is not endangering. The erosion type does not endanger because its rate is balanced with soil formation of the resulting erosion place. Serious erosive damage oceurred when human and other factors make natural unbalance and open soil becomes main factors for damages of rain, wind and sunshine. Various of erosion factors cause prediction concerning of erosion rate and occurring of sedimentation are difficult to manage. This research observed Effects of Soil Density on Erosion Occurring in The Soil. The research was done in a laboratory, where artificial rain simulation used a rainfall simulator tool. Whereas, the soil was tested by soil derived from Godean area. This research used different density variations, where each density was observed for 2 hour whose data where recorded every 15 minutes. In addition, rain intensity variation was made to compare results from each other. The results of research indicate that the higher rate of soil density resulted the greater erosion to achieve optimum point of certain density was. Beside that, the greater rain intensity facing the soil, the erosion was also greater.
