HUBUNGAN DIMENSI, WORKING LOAD DAN SETTLEMENT FONDASI DRIVEN PILE DI LAPISAN PASIR

Abstract


In geotechnical engineering practice, some methods by approaches have been developed to estimate ultimate base resistance (Fub), ultimate shaft resistance (Fus), pile working load axial capacity, and settlement. There is a strong correlation between the increases of driven pile diameter and those four parameters. This research tried to reveal the roots of problem in the correlations between the increasing driven pile dimension towards the ultimate base resistance (Fub), ultimate shaft resistance (Fus), working load pile, and settlement in sand layer. The objective of this research is to provide knowledge in foundation design of driven pile in sand layer. There is a strong connection between the increasing dimensions of pile and the working load and settlement that occur. The practical analysis basic principle directly uses data obtained from CPT to design driven pile foundation. There are similarities between Cone Penetrometer and pile. The penetrometer can be seen as a model of pile. The results of this research indicate that the ultimate base resistance (Fub), The ultimate shaft resistance (Fus) and the working load (use load) increase gradually as the diameter of the driven pile is increased. Settlement s1 = 25a3 does not always increase as the diameter of driven pile increases. Meanwhile, settlement s2 = 0,1D [(FPILE/ (Fb+ 0,215 3√D x Fs)]3; or s2 = 0,1D [(FPILE- Fs) / Fb]3 always increases as the diameter of driven pile increases.

Dalam prakteknya geotechnical engineering telah berkembang beberapa metode secara pendekatan untuk mengistimasi ultimate base resistance (Fub), ultimate shaft resistance (Fus), kapasitas axial working load pile dan settlement. Ada korelasi hubungan erat antara semakin bertambah dimensi driven pile terhadap parameter-parameter ultimate base resistance (Fub), ultimate shaft resistance (Fus), working load pile dan settlement. Pada penelitian ini berusaha mengungkapkan akar masalah yang ada hubungan antara bertambahnya dimensi driven pile terhadap ultimate base resistance (Fub), ultimate shaft resistance (Fus), working load pile dan settlement di lapisan pasir. Hasil penelitian ini menginformasikan ultimate base resistance (Fub) dan Ultimate shaft resistance (Fus) secara bertahap meningkat sesuai pertambahan ukuran diameter tiang. Pertambahan diameter driven pile akan semakin meningkatkan woking load (use load). Settlement, s1 = 25a3 tidak selalu meningkat sesuai pertambahan ukuran diameter driven pile. Sedangkan, settlement, s2 = 0,1D [(FPILE/ (Fb+ 0,215 3√D x Fs )]3; atau s2 = 0,1D [(FPILE- Fs)/Fb]3 selalu meningkat sesuai pertambahan ukuran diameter driven pile.
