Abstract


This study has been carried out at the Research Institute for Mariculture, Gondol,Bali.Epinephelus corallicola has been an economic important commodity candidate fisheries. The use concrete tank size: 6 m3 and 9 m3, filled sea water with salinity 32 - 33 ppt. The purpose of this experiment was to know larval growth and seed mass production. The observations showed hatching rates: 85.15 - 95.00 %. Newly hatched larvae of Epinephelus corallicola, with total length of 1.78 - 2.50 mm. The harvest of larval 50 days in tank (6m3) was: survival rates: 12.35 %, total length 2,65 ± 0,195 cm, body weight: 0.33 ± 0.063 g, on tank 9 m3, with survival rates: 10.75 %. total length 2.57 ± 0.082 g, body weight 0.31 ± 0.040 g.
