Tingkat Survival Rate Gelondongan Bandeng (Chanos chanos Forskal) dengan Variasi Kepadatan dalam Bak Penampungan

This research held in Breeding Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture of Dr. Soetomo University Surabaya, during 15 days from 15th November through 1st December 2004. The aim of this research is to recognize optimum dissemination density for milk fish offspring survival, and also to recognize water quality parameters in patch container. These research employ experiment method that composed in Complete Random Design (RAL) with five levels of treatments and repeat five times. The treatments given are as follow: A = density 60 milk fishes per 15 liter of water ; B = density 90 fishes per 15 liter of water; C = density 120 fishes per 15 liter of water; D= density 150 fishes per 15 liter of water; and E = density 180 fishes per 15 liter of water, respectively. Result of this research indicates that density factory influences on survival rate on milk fish offspring (Chanos chanos Forskal) very significantly. The result shows that the best survival rate levels are: A treatment (density 60 milk fishes) around 99,5% ; B treatment (90 milk fishes) 97,56%; C treatment (120 milk fishes) 96%; D treatment (150 milk fishes) 93,07% and E treatment (90 milk fishes) 86,72%. From correlation test result and multiplier regression could be recognized that water quality parameters which have influence dominance on survival rate of milk fish offspring are oxygen around 4 - 7,5 ppm while other water quality parameters (carbon dioxide, salinity, ammonia) have influence still in tolerance limit.
