 | k@ta is a refereed journal, published twice a year, in June and December, by the English Department, Faculty of Letters, Petra Christian University, Surabaya, Indonesia. It presents articles on the study of language and literature. The area of language that k@ta covers includes general and applied linguistics. In the area of literature, k@ta covers literature in English which may include written, movie, and other media texts applying diverse theories. Its overriding objective is to provide a forum for scholars and practitioners within any of the various subspecialties of the discipline to address a broad cross-section of the profession. Appropriate subjects include, but not limited to, the dissemination of well-conceived analysis, research reports, studies, book reviews, and application of theories (critical theory, cultural studies, and rhetoric, etc.). No area is less welcome than any other, as long as the topic is of general interest within the profession.
K@ta journal is first published in 1999, and accredited by DIRJEN DIKTI No.: 81/DIKTI/Kep/2011.
