Abstract


The objective of research is to evaluate variables tha influence the Number of stability (Ns), the breakwater armor units, such as hight of wave, wave period, wave angle direction, layer coeficient, porosi While the objective of this researh is to get a new Number stabilty formula, it is (Hs/?Dn or Ns ), at non breaking wave, that can be applied on all kinds of a or units breakwater. The research using physical model methode, with the undistorted model, analysis of wave data Zero up crossing and regrestion analysis using least square methode, with Mat Lab program, version 6.5. The result of this research are numbers of stability(Ns) armor units layer breakwater on non breaking wave. condition is : Ns = 0,0874 Po-4,1580 d0,0486 N-0,0278C7,3935(cos q)0,5385 xz-0,4640

The evaluation result in comparing with the existing ormula, such as, Hudson formula and Vander Meer formula, with armor units are type of stones, cube, tetrapod and dolos, it looks that in new formula, stability number (Ns) is the smalest number, so it is the most reliable or optimal, compare with Vander Meer formula, also Hudson. Formula at slope angle of the structure(cot 1,5), until slope angle of the structure (cot 3). Number of stability graphic (Ns) for non breaking wave, that the number of stability being bigger, in a row to the number of (H/L) value, a d being smaller in increasing angle wave direction for slope (cot 1,5), (cot 2,5) an (cot 3).
