Abstract


IKM Mambo Furniture is a furniture factory which is producing cabinets for export to Spain. All orders of IKM Mambo Furniture were got from PT. Benefindo Putera Prima. If order of cabinet which is offered by PT. Benefindo Putera Prima was greter than capacity of IKM Mambo Furniture, this industry just made cabinet on it capacity. On this case IKM Mambo Furniture have lost s The limitation of capacity caused this industry just mede 14 cabinets. Production capacity must beincresed for reduce lost sale and the best way for it increasing production efficiency. Based on the obsevation on IKM Mambo Furniture, there are 2 waste activities. First waste activity is material handling r using production facility. Second waste activity is fixture setting. Beside of wste activity, working position also influenced on operator productivity. By interview with operator, 100% of operators was not comfortable with squat position. Biomechanics alysis used for seek comfortable working position. Operator table was appli for accomodate comfortable position Appication of proposal layout, proposal sawmill fixture and operator table can increasing production efficiency fr 78,52 % to 91,25 % and production capacity from 169 unit to 198 unit per mont There are increasing of production capacity amount to 29 unit.
