Abstract


The loosing of bond strength between concrete and reinforcement cause failure in the reinforced concrete structure. To preve this failure, it needed an observation of bond strength between concrete and reinforcement. The bond strength is needed to plan the development length, so that the orce endured of reinforcement and concrete is balance. This research is done by applying an experiment method in laboratory using two kinds of reinforcements, bar and deformed. Reinforcements were buried in cylinder concrete which its diameter and high was 150 mm and 300 mm. The diameter of reinforcement were 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 16 and 19 mm. Bond strength can be measured by dividing the force which was needed to pull out the reinforcement.The result of this research showed that eformed has bigger bond strength than bar reinforcement.
