Abstract


Testing of irradiated spent fuel in Radiometallurgy Installation (RMI) arising Transuranic solid waste. The research using epoxy resin has been conducted as matriks material, to immobiliteTransuranic solid wWaste as function of waste loading. Transuranic solid waste could be on ash form pasta that contains radionuclide. Immobilisation was done by mix epoxy resin and hardener at ratio 1:1, and then added simulated transuranic waste. The waste concentration in polymer was variated 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 % weight. These im bilization products were determined it’s density then introduced to compression tes by Paul Weber compactor and leaching test using soxhlet apparatus. The higher e loading on polymerwaste blocks, the higher it’s density and leaching rat but the lower it’s compressive strength. Based on density, compression test and leaching rat,e the test figure that solid waste on ash form, which contains 30 % maximum w loading, will gives the best quality of polymer-waste block.
