IDENTIFIKASI RETAK PADA POROS FLEXIBLE MELALUI PENGUKURAN SINYAL GETARAN

Abstract


The aim of this research was to identify crack on the rotating shaft trough vibration signal measurement. The patern of the signal in the time domain and the signal spectrum were observed to identify the crack. It was given in the midle of the shaft by sawing in the lateral direction. Several crack depth were considered in the experiment, ie: 0.125 D, 0.25 D, 0.375 D, and 0.5 D. The vibration signal was measured on the shaft speed 1414 rpm and 2160 rpm. The signal that obtained from the cracked shaft was compared to the signal from the haft with no crack. The result showed that in the cracked shafts, there were amplitut modulation in the time domain signal patern. This phenomena indicated that there was nonlinearity in signal that caused by crack. Meanwhile, spectrum analysis showed f equency coupling as the effect of the crack on the shafts. The coupling occurred at the frequency 29 Hz, 78 Hz, and 97 Hz for the shaft speed 1414 rpm, and at frequen Hz, 92 Hz, and 107 Hz for the shaft speed 2160 rpm.
